SYNOPSIS
The story takes place in a close future. Science has overcome genetic
secrets. As soon as a child is conceived, it is possible to protect him form illness and
orientate what he will be.
Gattaca is a Research Center for the best ones of these young persons who have a perfect
genetic patromony. In this Center they are trained for ambitious space programs.
Vincent is a normal child. His heart is fragile and he doesn’t know what he will die
of. But he has a dream : go in the space.
Jerome Eugene Morrow was a perfect candidate for Gattaca until an accident destroy his future. These 2 boys will allow to obtain what they want helping each other…
In the strictly inspected universe of Gattaca, Vincent becomes Jerome. With his help he eludes every day the genetic identification and control systems. Thanks his cleverness and his willigness he is having successfull studies and approaches his goal slowly. Day after day, " Jerome " makes friends with Irene, a pretty and bright student.
The murder of the missions’s Director will make the situation more complicated. Hade his real identity is getting more and more difficult for " Jerome " especially as he turns to be really suspected. Because of his growing feelings for Irene ans this dangerous situation, Vincent is having more and more difficulties to live with his usurpation…
A few days before leaving for space he has to face his life, his past, his choices and Gattaca’s world.

Gattaca is a vision of a " perfect " future that Andrew Niccol, scriptwriter and film-maker has. He has creating an amazing universe on a visual point of view, a world where behairour is strictly arranged – a world where the most extrems human feelings such as passion, faith, emotion belong to the past and where a quiet perfection is regularly spread. He introduces a character in this perfect world who refuses to be involved in the system.
