Modèle, cantatrice, muse, actrice, cinéaste et réalisatrice de nombreux vidéo-clips, Arielle Dombasle est née dans le Connecticut, aux États-Unis, mais c’est au Mexique qu’elle grandit. Elle tourne avec de nombreux réalisateurs, tels que Éric Rohmer, Raoul Ruiz, Werner Schroeter, Alain Robbe-Grillet, Roman Polanski ou John Malkovich. Elle est une figure à la fois underground et populaire et joue dans Un Indien dans la ville, Miami Vice, au music hall, au Crazy Horse ou à l’Opéra Comique avec Jérôme Savary. Ses albums, pop, rock et lyriques, sont couronnés de trois disques d’or et d’un double disque de platine et elle donne de nombreux concerts à travers le monde. À 22 ans, avec sa première réalisation Chassé-Croisé, on la désigne, en tant que jeune cinéaste, comme une enfant de Jean Cocteau. Suivent Les Pyramide bleues, La Traversée du désir ainsi qu’Opium, où elle conjugue ses deux passions : le cinéma et la musique. Avec Alien Crystal Palace, elle réalise un mélodrame fantastique, gothique, rock.

She has worked with a range of directors such as Eric Rohmer, Raoul Ruiz, Werner Schroeter, Alain Robbe-Grillet, Roman Polanski and John Malkovich. She is both a cult and pop figure, having performed in Little Indian, Big City, Miami Vice, music halls, the Crazy Horse and the Opéra Comique with Jérôme Savary. Her pop, rock and lyrical albums have gone gold three times as well as double-platinum, and she gives concerts regularly around the world. As a young filmmaker at age 22, her directing debut Chassé-Croisé saw her being hailed as the heiress apparent to Jean Cocteau. She followed up with Les Pyramides bleues, La Traversée du désir and Opium, which brought together her two passions: cinema and music. With Alien Crystal Palace, she directed a fantastic gothic rock melodrama.
