Jean-François Rauger, grand spécialiste du cinema de genre et du cinema fantastique, est le directeur de la programmation de La Cinémathèque française, il collabore au journal “Le Monde” et est l’auteur de “L’Œil domestique − Alfred Hitchcock et la television” (éditions Rouge Profond) ainsi que d’un recueil de textes, “L’œil qui jouit” (éditions Yellow Now). Il est également l’un des auteurs du livre “Hitchcock : La Totale” (éditions E/P/A). Il intervient dans de nombreux festivals, et remet des prix à l’occasion d’hommages rendus à Spike Lee au Festival de Deauville en 2008, à Lee Chang-dong au Festival de Deauville Asie et à John Landis au Festival de Gérardmer en 2009, à Kiyoshi Kurosawa au Festival de Marrakech et à John McTiernan au Festival de Gérardmer en 2010. Il est president du jury courts métrages du Festival de Gérardmer en 2012 et membre du jury longs métrages du Festival de Beaune en 2014.
