Jérémy Clapin

Jérémy Clapin est diplômé des Arts décoratifs de Paris. Il se fait d’abord connaître à travers ses courts métrages d’animation (Une histoire vertébrale, Skhizein, Palmipedarium) qui vont progressivement le placer au-devant de la scène internationale. Il sort en 2019 son premier long métrage d’animation, J’ai perdu mon corps, qui rencontre un véritable succès. Le film reçoit le Grand Prix de la Semaine de la Critique à Cannes 2019 (inédit pour un film d’animation), se voit immédiatement acheté par Netflix, nommé aux Oscars 2020 et récompensé de deux César (long métrage d’animation et musique). En 2023, Jérémy Clapin réalise son premier long métrage en prises de vues réelles, Pendant ce temps sur Terre, avec l’actrice Megan Northam. Il développe actuellement différents projets à l’international, aussi bien en animation qu’en prises de vues réelles.

Jérémy Clapin is a graduate of Paris Arts Décoratifs. He first made a name for himself with his animated short films (Une Histoire vertébrale, Skhizein, Palmipédarium) which gradually put him at the forefront of the international scene. In 2019, he released his first animated feature film, I Lost My Body, which was a major success. The film won the Grand Prize at the 2019 Cannes Critics’ Week (unheard of for an animated film), was promptly bought by Netflix, was nominated for the 2020 Academy Awards and received two César (Best Animated Film and Best Music). In 2023, Jérémy Clapin directed his first live-action feature film, Meanwhile on Earth, with the actress Megan Northam. He is currently developing various international projects, in animation as well as in live-action.
