Une expérience unique
Comme pour les festivals de Strasbourg, Villerupt et Reims Polar, la Région parraine le jury jeunes du Festival de Gérardmer en permettant à dix jeunes du Grand Est d’y participer.
La Région souhaite offrir, par le biais de ce jury, une expérience unique. Cette expérience leur permettra d’enrichir leur culture de cinéphile et de découvrir le monde du cinéma de l’intérieur. Ils constitueront un jury officiel, confronté aux mêmes exigences qu’un jury de professionnels et remettront le Prix du jury jeunes de la Région Grand Est.
Ils devront, avec les conseils éclairés d’un parrain, choisir, argumenter, défendre le film retenu et expliquer leur choix lors de la cérémonie du palmarès. Ce moment festivalier est aussi l’opportunité de vivre l’événement de l’intérieur, dans une atmosphère spécifique où les jeunes lycéens côtoient, au jour le jour, artistes, réalisateurs et professionnels du 7e art.

A unique experience
Just as it does for the Strasbourg, Villerupt and Reims Polar festivals, the Region sponsors the Gérardmer Festival Youth Jury, giving ten Great East youths the opportunity to participate. The Region aims to provide a unique experience through this jury. The experience will allow them to enrich their cultural appreciation of film and discover the world of cinema from the inside. They will constitute an official jury, subject to the same requirements as a professional jury, and will hand out the Great East Region Youth Jury Prize.
Under the enlightened guidance of a mentor, they will argue, make their selection, defend their chosen film and explain their choice during the award ceremony. This festivalgoer’s highlight is also the high school students’ chance to experience the festival from the inside, in a specific atmosphere where they will rub shoulders daily with artists, directors and other professionals of the cinematic arts.
