Né en 1973 à Londres, en Angleterre, il obtient son diplôme de réalisation à la London International Film School. Il réalise ensuite plusieurs films publicitaires et vidéo-clips, notamment pour les groupes The John Spencer Blues Explosion, Yeah Yeah Yeahs et Dave Gahan. En 2005, il dirige la comédienne Chloë Sevigny dans le court métrage Carousel, puis signe Finkle’s Odyssey, qui remporte le Méliès d’Argent au festival Fantasporto deux ans plus tard. The Seeding est son premier long métrage.
