À la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, cinq soldats américains sont envoyés en France pour empêcher les Allemands de reprendre un château précédemment occupé par des dignitaires nazis. Né à New York, il obtient une licence de cinéma à l’Université de Syracuse, puis s’installe à Los Angeles avec le rêve de percer dans le monde du cinéma. Il devient scénariste et signe notamment les scénarios des films d’horreur Destination Finale 2 et 4, dont le succès lui donne l’opportunité d’écrire et de réaliser son premier long métrage, L’Effet papillon en 2004. Il créé aussi la série Kyle XY pour la chaîne ABC Family. Ghosts of War est son deuxième film.

Born in New York, he graduated from Syracuse University with a film degree and moved to Los Angeles with dreams to make it big in the film industry. He became screenwriter and penned, amongst others, horror films Final Destination 2 and 4 whose success afforded him the opportunity to write and direct his first feature The Butterfly Effect in 2004. He also created TV series Kyle XY for ABC Family network. Ghosts of War is his second feature film.
