Orphelin depuis sa naissance, Edward découvre à l’âge adulte qu’il a un jumeau et une mère qu’il ne connaît pas. Avec sa petite amie Ryley, il part les rencontrer dans leur magnifique demeure isolée au cœur d’une région recluse. Les retrouvailles passées, le jeune couple se rend compte que les apparences sont trompeuses : la famille d’Edward cache un monstrueux secret.

SYNOPSIS
Edward and his girlfriend Ryley embark on a journey to a recluse region to meet Edward’s long-lost family. Arriving at the magnificent villa, Edward is delighted to meet his mother and twin brother and eager to connect with his origins. But nothing is as it seems, and Edward soon discovers he is linked to them by a monstrous secret.
Gabriel Abrantes
Né en 1984 aux États-Unis, il sort diplômé en cinéma et en arts visuels de la Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art de New York. Il étudie ensuite à l’École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris avant d’intégrer Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains. Ses courts métrages sont montrés dans de nombreux festivals et institutions culturelles à travers le monde. En 2017, il co-réalise avec Daniel Schmidt son premier long métrage, Diamantino, qui remporte le Grand Prix de la Semaine de la Critique l’année suivante. Amelia’s Children est son premier film en solo.
Born in 1984 in the United States, he received his BA in Cinema and Visual Arts at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York. He studied at l’École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and at Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains. His short films premiered at many films festivals and cultural institutions around the world. In 2017, he co-directed with Daniel Schmidt his feature debut Diamentino which won the Grand Prize from Critics’ Week the following year. Amelia’s Children is his first solo effort.
