Yara, a young Moroccan girl in pain, came to study in Paris. Confined in her apartment, she is bedeviled by scary events combining fragments of her past and monstrous visions. One evening, a mysterious apparition turns her life upside down and pushes her to the brink of madness…
Abel Danan
Né en 1998 à Paris, passionné de cinéma et de culture japonaise, il développe très rapidement le désir d’écrire et de réaliser. Après Coming Home, un premier court métrage sur le monde des yakuzas tourné à Tokyo en 2018, il signe l’année suivante, toujours au Japon, Love Cantata. Canines, son troisième court métrage, est présenté en compétition au Festival de Gérardmer 2021. La Damnée est son premier long métrage.
Born in 1998 in Paris, passionate about Japanese cinema and culture, he quickly had the desire to write and direct. After Coming Home, a first short film about the Yakuza world shot in Tokyo in 2018, he made the following year Love Cantata, still in Japan. Canines, his third short film, was presented in competition at Gérardmer in 2021. The Curse is his feature debut.
