Après avoir découvert un cadavre mutilé près de leur propriété, deux frères apprennent que les événements étranges survenant dans leur village sont causés par un esprit démoniaque qui a élu domicile dans le corps purulent d’un homme. Le mal dont souffre ce dernier ne tarde pas à se répandre comme une épidémie, affectant d’autres habitants de la région.
When Evil Lurks
SYNOPSIS
Two brothers find a mutilated corpse near their property and convene with the locals to suss it out. They learn that the odd happenings in their village are the cause of a spirit that’s found its way into a local man waiting for the proper protocols to rid his body of the festering demon. An escape attempt ensues and the protagonists race against imminent danger to shake the spirit’s relentless clutches.

Né en 1979 à Haedo, en Argentine, il signe tout d’abord plusieurs courts métrages horrifiques et de multiples scénarii. Il passe ensuite au long métrage avec The Last Gateway (2007). Son quatrième film, Terrified (2017), remporte de nombreuses récompenses et devient le film d’horreur générant le plus de recettes en Argentine. Il participe récemment à une anthologie intitulée Satanic Hispanics (2022). When Evil Lurks est son cinquième long métrage.
Born in 1979 in Haedo, Argentina, he first made numerous short films in the horror genre and many original scripts. He then directed his first feature film, The Last Gateway (2007). His fourth film Terrified (2007) was multi-awarded and the most successful horror film at the box office in Argentina. Recently, he participated in an anthology film called Satanic Hispanics (2022). When Evil Lurks is his fifth feature film.
