VIIIe siècle. L’armée de Charlemagne est en train de mettre les Pyrénées à feu et à sang. Afin d’arrêter ce massacre, le chef des montagnards de la vallée demande de l’aide auprès des dieux ancestraux de ses terres, dont la disparition est imminente avec l’arrivée de la chrétienté. Après avoir prêté serment, il arrive à vaincre l’ennemi en échange de sa vie. Mais avant de mourir, il fait promettre à son fils Eneko de protéger à son tour la vallée. Les années passent et Eneko, devenu un homme à la foi chrétienne, se prépare à honorer sa promesse…

It is the 8th century and Charlemagne’s army is devastating the Pyrenees. To challenge this onslaught, the highlander leader of the valley asks for help from the ancestral gods of his lands, whose disappearance, brought about by the arrival of Christianity, is inevitable. After swearing a blood oath, he manages to defeat the enemy in exchange for his life. But before his death, he makes his son, Eneko, promise that he will be a good leader for the valley. Years later, now a grown man of Christian faith, Eneko is preparing to fulfill his promise…

Il se passionne depuis sa tendre enfance pour le dessin et la bande dessinée, et se plonge très tôt dans la littérature, les arts graphiques et le cinéma, avec une prédilection pour le fantastique. Il sort diplômé des Beaux-Arts en 2008, et commence à travailler dans la production audiovisuelle, l’illustration et l’infographie. Il écrit et réalise ses propres courts métrages, plusieurs fois primés. Errementari, son premier long métrage, est présenté à Gérardmer en 2018. Irati est son deuxième film.

Since he was a small child, he has shown an interest in drawing and comics. He also delved into the world of literature, comics and film, and had a predilection for fantasy. In 2008, he finished his degree in Fine Arts and began his professional career with a focus on audiovisual production, illustration, and infographics. He started writing and directing his own short films, which won many awards. Errementari: The Blacksmith and the Devil, his first feature, is presented in Gérardmer in 2018. Irati is his second film.
